HBL PSL 9 Unveils “The Orion Trophy” in a Grand Ceremony

The HBL PSL 9 trophy, named “The Orion Trophy,” was unveiled at the Polo Ground of the Race Course Park in Lahore on 13th February 2024. The ceremony was attended by New PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, PSL team owners, HBL representatives, and star cricketers, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.

Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman PCB, expressed his pleasure in announcing the 9th season of HBL PSL. He proudly acknowledged that the league continues to be a success story for Pakistan cricket. 

Speaking at the event, he said, 

“Today, as we unveil this Orion trophy, we look forward to a month-long celebration of the beautiful game of cricket and the excitement and drama that accompanies it.”

Naqvi also extended his gratitude to the title sponsor, HBL, for their support and commitment to uplifting cricket in Pakistan. 

He thanked the representatives of all six teams present at the ceremony and wished them the best of luck for the season, concluding with the hope that the best team would lift this prestigious trophy.

Ali Naqvi, owner of Islamabad United, expressed his excitement for the ninth edition of the HBL PSL. He emphasized the team’s ambition to achieve a grand triumph this season. Salman Iqbal, owner of Karachi Kings, shared his anticipation for a successful season, stating that Karachi Kings are ready to turn the tables. With a new coach and captain, the team is geared up to deliver breathtaking performances and contribute to an exciting tournament.

Atif Rana, CEO of Lahore Qalandars, expressed his team’s eagerness to complete a hat-trick of triumphs in the history of the league.
