In a recent press release, the PCB shared some intriguing details about the trades and retentions. As a result of a trade between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators involving Iftikhar Ahmed and Rilee Rossouw, Multan Sultans had the first pick in the initial round of the Platinum category.
This trade also led to the exchange of Islamabad United’s first-round Platinum pick with Quetta Gladiator’s third-round Platinum pick due to Naseem Shah’s move to Islamabad United.
There have been some fascinating changes in the Silver category. Shan Masood’s move to Karachi Kings resulted in the exchange of their first-round Silver pick for Multan Sultan’s fourth-round Silver pick.
Furthermore, Islamabad United’s acquisition of Imad Wasim led to the swap of their first-round Silver pick with Karachi Kings’ second-round Silver pick.
It’s worth noting that both Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will need to select a local player in the Platinum category. As per tradition, each of the six teams will also possess a Right to Match Card, allowing them to choose any player released from their roster during the draft.
